By exploring new tectonic avenues and ways to reclaim Inuit traditional know-how, Illusuak proposes a learning environment defined by land-based activities and by the pavilions’ architecture inspired by cabins. The project is rooted in the intrinsic communion that peoples of the tundra enjoy with the land. Open spaces occupy different levels, allowing for an optimal appropriation of the rooms by their occupants. The three pavilions allow young people to renew their experience of the land in an immersive environment where Inuit culture and land-based learning take central stage.
