Nuvisavik (where we weave) : a place to learn traditional and contemporary knowledge in Kuujjuaq is a Master Thesis Project by Josiane Thompson supervised by Myriam Blais (Université Laval).
This research tackles a self-building process highlighting the Inuit constructive culture ingenuity, imagining ways to increase constructive autonomy in Nunavik through the use of local knowledge applied to architecture. It propose tectonic strategies for a learning place dedicated to sharing Inuit know-how.
